This book is amazing! It has the perfect balance of angst, love, conflict and realism. Eloise's character is very easy for me to relate to and at some parts of the book, I felt like I was reading about myself. The story has a great plot line and flows very well. I'm excited to see where the author takes us next!!

This is the first book of the “Team Zero” series. And I can not wait for the books on the other guys!!

OMG this book is great! I’m not sure if Rina has written other books but I do believe this is her first published book. And dang if it isn’t incredible. I love reading books that have a crew of guys that you fall in love with. Not only that but they are some bad boys, and their past breaks your heart.

I am in love with Crow. Eloise isn’t so bad herself. But these two together is magical. And dang if they aren’t super hot!! Ghost is also VERY intriguing. I can’t wait for the next book!!
I thoroughly enjoyed reading Crowed—and for someone who prefers not to read a novella, my rating of four stars says a lot! Crowed is a love story but very little of the story itself is actual romance. Instead, readers are given a romance that’s embedded into a prequel (of sorts) for future Team Zero books. Crowed was short but it really did an excellent job of enticing me to read future books by Rina Kent in the Team Zero series. It also had me checking Goodreads to see if Rina had release books previously—and I was surprised to learn that this was Rina Kent’s first book. It’s very well written and the early blogger copy I read was very clean. That impressed me as so many blogger copies haven’t seen an editor or proofreader yet.

Crowed is sexy and suspenseful. It kept me turning page after page. The pace is quick and the dual POV allows readers to get inside both characters mindsets. I struggled with one aspect of the book and that was character development. With the story being short, and fast paced, there wasn’t a lot of room for this obviously. Since there was little character development, I struggled with understanding Eloise. It was very difficult for me to connect with her since I couldn’t understand her ‘need’ to die. I understood that she was broken, and in fact, so was Crow, but I couldn’t understand her desire to cease to exist. The connection she experienced with Crow was obvious, their brokenness drew them together. And while I struggled with Eloise, I loved Crow. His background as an assassin was intriguing and I desperately wanted more. While Crowed itself was likely written to lure readers towards future works in the series, I think that Rina could have written a full-length book and still accomplished the same endgame. I would have loved more insider knowledge of how Team Zero came to be and development of the characters in the team which will be getting their own books. The story was unique and while it was well written and entertaining, I think the concepts established could have been expanded upon. I am impatiently waiting for Ghost’s book which cannot come soon enough. I am beyond intrigued by Ghost and want to see Rina Kent peel back his layers.

Rina Kent is a new to me author and she shows tons of promise with the start of this series. It’s full of mystery, suspense with a bit of action and heat.

However, it started out a bit on the slow side for me and I started losing interest fairly quickly so I had to put it down for a few days. But as soon as I picked it back up, things started progressing much faster and it held my attention until I reached the end.

Eloise started out as a very depressed character. She lost the last person she loved in her family and lost her own will to live, until Crow, a ruthless assassin for Team Zero, comes barreling into her life turning it upside down. They both breathe new life into each other, but Crow is dangerous and he brings that danger to Eloise.

The plot was a bit predictable in parts, but Kent has a writing style to keep up the suspense. I did feel like there needed to be a little more character interaction with Crow and Eloise to establish their connection to make me feel more heat between the two. There was a lot of internal monologue so we knew how they felt about each other internally, but I felt like we needed to see more of an outward display of affection with them.

I’m definitely intrigued by the other characters from this story and the ongoing plot so this series will be one to keep my eye on in the future.
